Adviser tools
Quick adviser utilities for checks that are useful during advice capture. This currently exposes SA ID validation; the API also supports underwriting requirement prediction.
Manuals
Operating guides for administrators, broker managers and brokers.

My multi-factor authentication
Protect your login with either an emailed one-time code or an authenticator app code. If a manager forced an MFA reset, use Authenticator app setup here when prompted.
Add a user
Brokers and broker managers are created here by the administrator. Leave the password blank to email them an invitation link to set their own.

Product providers
Broker managers maintain the approved provider dropdown used for cases, quotes and templates.
Upload a template
Add a provider application form (Brightrock, Liberty, …). Fillable PDFs and DOCX with {{placeholders}} are auto-mapped to client fields; flat PDFs use a visual overlay you can position.

Invoices
General platform settings
Country, currency and identity settings used by the workflow. Disable SA ID validation when operating outside South Africa or when the validator is not required.
Outbound email (SMTP / OAuth2)
Configure how Quillar sends mail. Generic SMTP works with Microsoft 365 / Gmail app passwords; OAuth2 modes use modern authentication.
E-signature providers
Connect your brokerage's own e-signature account. When connected, documents sent for signature are handed off to that vendor (which notifies the signer); otherwise the built-in Quillar Native (ECTA) signing is used, which produces a secure link to share. Keys are stored against your brokerage.
File storage
Set where new files are saved. UNC/network paths are supported when the server account has permission.
Backup jobs
Create multiple jobs to local or network destinations. Use Windows Task Scheduler or the Run button for on-demand backups.

AI engine (local LLM)
Quillar reads documents with a local Ollama model. Point it at this machine or another computer on your network (e.g. a GPU box), and choose the text and vision/OCR models. Changes apply immediately — no restart. Leave a field blank to use the install default.
Activity log (auditor)
A tamper-evident record of who did what, across all brokerages. Visible to the platform administrator only.
FAIS / COFI readiness
Quillar supports compliant advice evidence, audit trails, MFA, document retention and disclosure workflows, but software alone does not certify the FSP or advice process as FAIS or COFI compliant.
- Have a qualified compliance officer approve templates, disclosures, supervision rules, retention rules and advice workflows.
- Use MFA, audit-log reviews, tested backups, POPIA consent controls and signed records before production go-live.
- See
manuals/05-FAIS-COFI-Readiness-Guide.mdfor the operational checklist.
